The Herbert S. and Martha M. Currier
Memorial Music Fund
and
Philip R. Currier and Priscilla C. Currier

This Fund was established by Philip Currier, a longtime member of the First Congregational Church, UCC, of Pelham, to honor Herbert and Martha Currier, Phil's parents. It was funded with donations from Phil and his wife, Priscilla Herbert Currier was a longtime and regular member of our Choir. He sang in the Choir from 1946 until 2002, 56 years. Phil can count on the fingers of one hand the number of Sundays his father was not in the Choir.

The Curriers have long been involved with music  in the First Congregation Church of Pelham. Herb's mother,  Serena (Stickney) Currier played the organ for many  years in the 1920's & 1930's. Herb's grandparents,  Henry and Gertrude Hillman Currier sang in the Choir  for many years.

Serena and her husband Richard H. Currier  made a donation to have chimes installed in the Church.  In 2003 the large pipe organ broke down, needed major  repairs, and was out of use for several months.  It was first placed in the Church in 1869.

Phil and Priscilla made a significant donation and the organ was repaired and upgraded.

Phil and Priscilla deeply appreciate the work by Church member Shawn Duggan to organize and present this "Appalachian Road Show" concert and sincerely  thank him.
