Covid

ANNOUNCEMENT AND UPDATE

Reopening Task Force Update

Oh, what a year it’s been! The Re-opening Task Force continues to meet monthly as we track the infection rates statewide as well as in Hillsborough County. The numbers went down for a while at the end of the winter, but recently have started to creep back up, again. Of particular concern is the spread of the many variants of the Covid virus. The high infection rates prevent us from re-starting indoor in-person services for the foreseeable future.

The Reopening Task Force’s strategy is to now enter a hybrid phase of offering church services. As the weather gets warmer, we will be able to get together outside. Starting on Sunday, April 25, we will once again offer the 8:30 am in-person service.  The service will take place outside in the parking lot on the ramp side of the church. The same Safety Protocols we have been following for the past year will remain in place – preregistration is required, limit of 25 people, masks, temperature check, etc. The 10:00 am service will continue to be virtual on the church’s YouTube channel. Please watch the Wednesday Blast for Sunday service announcements and pre-registration links.

We are being cautious due to an abundance of love for our church. Our recommendations are consistent with the advice from our conference minister and the position of other UCC churches in the State of NH.  We will remain diligent reviewing and assessing data and recommendations as it becomes available. Please remember, we are open, we never closed. Take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities we have to connect with one another. Carlos and a whole lot of people behind the scenes are working hard to show what God’s love looks like at FCCP.

Peace and blessings,

Reopening Task Force: Jane Ambargis, Amber Beland, Angele Diack, Carlos Jauhola-Straight, Margaret Oxner, Tom Seniow, Ron Schneider, Chair

REOPENING TASK FORCE  - The Reopening Task Force has been meeting and reviewing all the information available to us.  As we navigate how best to move forward we recognize that there will be many modifications to how and when we gather in person.  We are working on a phased approach

In order for us to keep everyone safe we must begin to take difficult but necessary steps in adjusting our access and routines.  There will be many adjustments and adaptations to how and when we gather as we work on reopening the church building.  This will require all of us to work together, hold each other accountable and remind one another that the Body of Christ is not location dependent.   Please check this page for further updates and we thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate the next phases together.

For more information please download our protocols for gatherings.
